A Bright Sunny Day with Wentworth Miller

As I was sitting at my desk in the study today totally absorbed in my work, I was interrupted by the singing and chirping of birds outside my window.  I peered through the window to see what all the fuss was about and I was completely taken in by the bright sunny day outside.  The birds were singing and the yellow finches with their black faces were busy weaving their nests in the "Weeping Bottlebrush" in my garden.  It almost felt like a Spring day even though it's the middle of winter in Jo'burg. What glorious weather we've been experiencing over the past couple of days in Jo'burg. Goodness how the world and climate is changing!  It’s almost as if time has skipped and Spring is already knocking at my door.

While I was peeping at the birds outside and feeling all warm and happy Went entered my thoughts as usual and I wondered what he’s been up to.  Could it be that he's still writing the script for “Scare Me” or was that finished long ago? I mused. My mind wondered if he's perhaps found another screenplay to adapt, which has him buried away somewhere.  I could visualise Went's long tapering fingers gliding over the keyboard of his laptop almost as if he were playing a classical piece on the piano with "Daddy-longlegs" climbing up his leg curious to see what it is he was doing. [She shudders].

Ah well! [She sighs] As long as Went is busy and happy that’s the most important thing I guess. My only hope is that dear Went does get to see some daylight occasionally and that he manages to find time to take a breather every now and again.

Went, there’s nothing more rejuvenating than to breathe in some fresh air, take a dip in the pool in the warm sun or better still to visit a Spa for a good massage and a pampering. Don't you agree? [She teases.]

Hopefully it won’t be too long now and we’ll all get to see the movie “Loft”, that Went worked so hard in.  In case you're wondering what I'm referring to, please follow the link below.

It was reported that “Loft” would hit theatres in September 2013…

… but it seems that the release date has now been moved to October 2013.

Here's hoping that the goal posts won't be moved again.

Anyway, anything Went is involved in, is definitely worth the wait that’s for sure!

Keeping The Home Fires Burning for Wentworth Miller.

Even though Went has chosen to take another direction in his career that of course becoming a screenwriter and that he is out of the public eye, this does not mean that he will ever be forgotten in any way.  I’ll always keep the home fires burning for him here on my blogger.  It may be that I won't be blogging as much as I used to in the past, but as soon as I have some enjoyable material or interesting information to write about, I will definitely do so.

I genuinely feel it would be inappropriate and unfair to Went to appeal to him to give us (his fans), photos or news about himself and his projects, as this would be coming from a selfish and needy place from us rather than a respectful and happy place for him.  After all, this is Went’s life and not ours and he doesn’t owe us anything, besides he has already given us so much of himself as it is, and for this I am eternally grateful as I’m sure all of his fans are too.

I would like Went to know that we love him and respect him.  We’ll always carry him in our thoughts, in our hearts and in our prayers.  We will supporthim with all of his projects whether they involve acting, screenwriting, producing, directing, commentating, dancing or singing etc., or even perhaps... just lazing around. [She laughs].  In other words, Went, “you can depend on us, we ain't going anywhere.”

We, (your fans), hope that you are happy and well and that you are enjoying and loving every moment that life is offering you right now!

God bless you as always dear Went.

Happy 4th July 2013 - Wentworth Miller

I wish Went and all of his fans in America wonderful festivities as you celebrate the 4th of July.   May you and your families and your great Country be blessed with love, peace and prosperity forever!

The Star Spangled Banner

by Francis Scott Key

O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming;
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O say, does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On that shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, now conceals, now discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam--
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream;
'Tis the Star-Spangled Banner; O long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where are the foes who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave;
And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

O thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war desolation;
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, for our cause it is just,
And this be our motto, "In God is our trust";
And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
