A New Years Wish for 2015!

Dear Went,

There are so many things that I wish for you … the list is endless.   I think that the only way I could shorten this list is to say that I wish you an abundance of Love, Joy, Happiness, Prosperity, Good Health, Good Wealth, and Longevity and may all your dreams come true. I hope I haven’t left out anything but as I said my list of best wishes for you goes on forever so never fear they are kept very dear and they will definitely come true for you too.

I extend my love and best wishes to your family and friends.   Wishing them all the very best for 2015.

All my love,
Debbie

Cheers Went!

Magical Moments!

It’s hard to believe that we’ve come to the end of another year.  How time flies when you’re having fun and boy did we have fun with Went in 2014!  Every moment with Went has been a magical experience from the beginning of the year right to the very end of it.

I recall the first magic moment with Went was when his humorous and thought provoking piece … McDonalds Drive Thru was published on the internet on the 29 January 2014. I’ve read and reread this piece over and over again and somehow I can never tire of reading it.  Went’s writing … his thoughts … his feelings … his humor and his outlook on life have given me a deeper sense of knowing who he is and I must say I really admire what I’ve discovered about him.  He truly captivates me!

April and May of 2014 were also filled with joy when magical photos of Went with his fans were shared.  And then in June, on Went’s birthday, Went’s selfie was discovered on Instagram for all of us   to revel in and enjoy and scrutinise.  It was one of those mysteries … where was this photo originally discovered? No one knew at the time but all was to be revealed soon enough.

At the end of June 2014 on the 24th to be precise … photographs of Went emerged that were featured in the Out Magazine. The photographs were absolutely stunning.

Please check out my video I dedicated to Went in my gallery.

“The Flash” news in July 2014 was another one of those magical moments when it was announced that Went was going to act in it.  The news blew my mind!  I was literally over the moon with excitement and I wanted to hug every Tom, Dick and Harry, but fortunately for them they weren’t to be found she says jokingly.  A few photos of Went on the set of “The Flash” emerged on twitter and we got to see what his character “Captain Cold” was going to look like.  Oh boy another magic moment all in the space of a few seconds!

August arrived and what a magical month that was!  Who can forget?  Not many I’m sure!  On the 1 August 2014 an interview with Went was published in the Details Magazine and what a delight that was to read.

The Disappointment’s Room made news too and so did A Friend Like Harry, both are two of Went’s screenplays.  The magic just kept on coming.

On the 6th  and 8th of August 2014 more magical photos of Went on the set of The Flash appeared and I recall going into a complete mesmerised state just staring at each one of them.  Went looked magical in every sense of the word.

Then on the 12th of August 2014 Went took a break from filming and was photographed taking a stroll around Vancouver wearing “our” bucket hat.  I refer to Went’s bucket hat as “ours” because I’ve blogged that it’s become sentimental to me too and I’m extremely fond of that hat.  Went if you ever get rid of it … you had better ask my permission first, if you know what’s good for you.  She teases.

The magic of magic arrived on the 25th August 2014 when the origins of Went’s selfie was discovered on his Facebook Page.  Wow!  What excitement!  What joy!  What a moment!  Finally it was a chance for all of his fans to have contact with him.

Went, you certainly brought magic into our lives when you made this move!  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts … this is what we have all been waiting for, for so long and what a joy ride it’s been.  Even though you don’t say very much on there, just reading and seeing what interests you is an absolute delight and blessing to me and all of your fans.  Thank you my darling Went. It’s one of the best gifts you could’ve ever given us.

Magic was definitely in the air when the beautiful pictures of Went appeared in the September issue of Augustman – Malaysia.  Even angels appeared behind Went in some of the photos. Talk about magical moments!  I’m known in certain circles as the “Angel Lady” and I took this as a positive sign for Went.  I honestly believe that he is always protected and guided by these heavenly beings. These photos were no coincidence. Nothing is ever coincidental … remember that!

On the 3rd September 2014, news broke that Went and Dom Purcell were going to act together in Episode 10 of “The Flash”.  What a magical reunion that must have been for both of these two fine actors.  I can tell you it was a magical moment for a lot of the Prison Break fans too!

The LOFT made news too on the 9th September 2014.  This much anticipated movie with Went in it was going to premier at the Film Festival Gent on the 14thOctober 2014.  It must have been magical for those who were fortunate enough to see it.  Lucky for them.

In October 2014 fabulous photos of Went and Dom Purcell on set, were released on the 16th on the Internet.  A couple of days after that … stills of Went’s magical interview were also released.  The visual interview was released on the 27th October 2014 and what an awesome and interesting interview it was.

The magical moment when Went appeared on the Red Carpet for the TrevorLive Project in LA on the 7th December 2014 and to witness this phenomena streaming on Yahoo Live just had to be the finest magical touch to the end of 2014 for me and I guess for many of Went’s fans.  Went was the perfect gentleman in every way!

Thank you my dear Went, for bringing magic into our lives in such a beautiful way and for making this year extra special.  I have a feeling that the best is still to come!  Here’s looking at 2015 with positive expectations and happy outcomes for you dearest Went.

I’d like to repeat this quote that Went enjoys to end  2014 …

"There are three things in life that equal happiness... something to do, something to love, and something to look forward to." - Dr. Venus Nicolino

God bless you all!

My New Years Wish for 2015 will follow …

One of A Kind!

I’ve written quite a few blogs about Wentworth’s values and of his persona.   I think Went possess qualities that are not often found.

Today, I’m writing this blog because I feel that I must … and I’m writing this piece this time from my heart and not from my head.

Last night these lovely pictures of Went attending the TrevorLive Event on the 7th December 2014 in LA were shared on FB.   These photos of Went got me replaying his interviews and listening to what he was saying and how he spoke at the TrevorLive Event and also his interview for “The Flash.  All the while, as I was sitting watching Went’s interviews I couldn’t help thinking what a refined gentleman he was, but still there was more to him than just that, and I thought to myself that it’s Went’s ability to portray sincerity, honesty, sensitivity, open-heartedness and compassion.

I read this piece about a refined gentleman some time ago and when I read it, Went immediately came to my mind. I wanted to share this with you.

“In whatever society, or in whatever part of the world, a gentleman may happen to be, he always complies externally with the spirit and usages of the place… A gentleman always possesses a certain self-respect—not indeed touching upon self-esteem, and far removed from self-conceit…Indeed a gentleman, in the highest signification of the term, is a noble animal…Employing in the regulation of his own conduct, the strictest standard of propriety, and in his expectations of that of others, the most lenient; cautious in accepting quarrel, more cautious in giving cause for it; lending to virtue the forms of courtesy, and borrowing from her the substance of sincerity; forming his opinions boldly, expressing them gracefully; in action, brave, in conference, gentle; always anxious to please, and always willing to be pleased; expecting from none what he would not be inclined to yield to all; giving interest to small things, whenever small things cannot be avoided, and gaining elevation from great, whenever great can be attained; valuing his own esteem too highly to be guilty of dishonor, and the esteem of others too considerately to be guilty of incivility; never violating decency, and respecting even the prejudices of honesty;…full of courage, but free from ostentation; without assumption, without servility; too wise to despise trifles, but too noble ever to be degraded by them; dignified but not haughty, firm but not impracticable, learned but not pedantic; to his superiors respectful, to his equals courteous; kind to his inferiors, and wishing well to all.” –Richard Wells, Manners, Culture and Dress of the Best American Society, 1894

I’m not saying that Went doesn’t possess a shadow, of course he does.  How dark his shadow is, remains to be seen but then we all possess a shadow … don’t we?

Went darling, you are truly one of a kind!

Thank You!

A Thief in the Night!

How time flies!  This year has slipped by so swiftly … almost like a thief in the night.  It’s time to start preparing for a New Year again.  It makes me wonder how folks overseas celebrate their New Year.  I wonder what Went does?  We know from his past interviews that he isn’t a “party animal” so perhaps he spends a quiet time with family and friends or takes in a movie, or has dinner out.

I, on the other hand will be staying at home, safe and sound, behind locked doors and perhaps even have an early night.  In SA it’s not safe to drive around at night … on any night … especially not on New Year’s Eve. South Africans generally find a safe haven unless; they’re crazy party animals who don’t care if they’re ambushed, hi-jacked or even killed.

Speaking of a thief in the night, can you believe that someone had the cheek to climb over my 6ft wall with electric fencing at home on Tuesday morning at 2.45 am?  Mr Thief attempted to chisel the support concrete beams of the wall in order to remove the panelling!  Thank goodness I’m a light sleeper because I would’ve probably had someone standing over me watching me sleep while the rest of the gang emptied out my house.  Fortunately for me, I have a panic button with me at all times.  I immediately pressed the button … and activated the alarm … thank goodness the security company arrived within minutes.  The thief thought that he had escaped … but ho, ho, ho, as Santa would have said, he wasn’t that lucky.  Nope! The very next morning Mr Thief tried his luck at someone else’s house nearby … eight shots were fired … I was ducking and diving in my living room avoiding any stray bullets that may have come flying through my windows!  Finally!  Mr was caught and apprehended.  Geez!  Talk about the wild … wild … west!  What a life!

Speaking of which, I will be recapping Went’s exciting escapades for 2014 very soon.

Thank you for reading and be safe!

A Christmas Wish!

It’s Christmas morning and I’m sitting quietly on my own in my study thinking of all the wishes I want to send Went.  I’m going to be perfectly honest there are so many wonderful things I wish for him that the list would go on and on and on that I’m sure you’d get bored reading them, leave and go on and on and on. [She says jokingly.]

My Dear Went,

I promised to blog my wish for you here.  I’m not sure if you read that promise, but if you did here it is.

I wish you a joyful happy Christmas, one filled with lots and lots of love, affection, gifts, food, drinks, hugs, kisses, laughter, warm company, excitement, happiness, awesome music, good conversation, contentment … the list goes on and on and on.

Went, you can count on this … that I’ll be thinking of you enjoying all these wonderful things I’ve just wished for you. Oh boy!  If only I was there with you enjoying them too!  [She sighs].  There’s no harm in wishful thinking is there?

I wish you, your family and friends and all of your fans a very MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Lots of love

DEBBIE.

A Christmas Eve Message!

Christmas is about celebrating, being joyful and happy but while we are all enjoying our festivities I’d like us all to take a moment and send our prayers and thoughts to those who are less fortunate than us ... the lonely people, the sad, the poor and the sick.  There are so many people out there who need our love and support.  As Went advocates these two things I felt it only fitting to blog this message to all of you here.

To anyone out there who is suffering at this moment, please remember that Christmas is about rebirth.  It’s a message to us all that there is a new beginning and that there is love and that there is hope.  Don’t ever give up!  Have faith and trust that everything will be better as you move forward each day.

To those who may have lost a loved one, please remember that life is eternal, and your loved one is with you and is watching over you wherever you may be. Take comfort in that knowledge.

God, grant us the grace to be patient and vigilant
In watching, waiting, and listening attentively.
So that we won't miss Christ
When he comes knocking at our door.
Remove whatever hinders us from receiving
The gifts which the Savior brings—
Joy, peace, justice, mercy, love ...
These are the gifts we are to share
With the downtrodden, the oppressed,
The outcasts, the weak, and the defenseless.

Christ, you are the hope of all peoples,
The wisdom who teaches and guides us,
The wonderful Counselor who encourages and consoles,
The Prince of Peace who calms our troubled minds
And restless spirits—
Granting us true inner peace.

Christ, you who are the radiant dawn,
Shine on those who live in darkness and in shadows,
Dispel fears, anxieties, and insecurities,
Restore hearts that have grown cold and distant,
Enlighten minds which have become darkened
Through greed, anger, hatred and bitterness.

We remember those who are living in shadows of a marginal existence,
We pray for the homeless, jobless and retrenched,
Those struggling to keep their lives together,
We lift up families, especially the children
Who may not experience
The joy of Christmas celebrations this season.

We pray for those living alone,
The widowed, the orphans, the elderly,
The sick and bedridden, the migrant workers
For whom the Christ-event may hold no special significance.
As happens with most festive seasons,
May it not deepen their sense of abandonment and alienation.

Christ, You who are the Light of the World,
Help us to radiate the warmth of your presence.
Enable us to give of ourselves generously and compassionately
In bringing joy, peace, and hope to others.

As we wait for the dawn
Of the coming of the Christ-child,
We do so with anticipation
Of new and unexpected challenges.
Like Mary, we sense the birth pangs of a new era,
A new kingdom waiting to be born.

May we, like Mary, be filled with courage,
Openness, and receptivity
To be the bearers of the Christ-child
In receiving and bringing forth the Good News
As we continue to be witnesses
Of God's truth and justice,
As we walk along the path of peace,
As we are strengthened in our love for Christ
And for each other.

In the words of Isaiah:

"Arise, shine, for your light has come.
The glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
Even though darkness shall cover the earth
And over its people,
Yet the LORD will be your everlasting light."

Amen.

Sending each one of you love and light wherever you are!  God bless you!

Just What I've Always Wanted!

Do you believe in the Spirit of Christmas?

I certainly do and here’s proof of it!

Many thanks to the WM Italian Forum for sharing this fabulous photo of Went and to the young lady who posted it on Instagram. The photo was taken with her and Went, at the Noble Coffee Roasting in Ashland, Oregon on the 21 December 2014.

This photo is just what I’ve always wanted for Christmas.

Thank you for your beautiful photo Went.  You’ve made this Christmas very special for me, and for all of your fans.  Bless you always!

I’m not sure if I’ve blogged this poem before for Went, but these words are so fitting for him that I just had to share it with you.

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
(Sonnet 18)
William Shakespeare, 1564 - 1616

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date.
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature’s changing course, untrimmed;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st,
Nor shall death brag thou wand’rest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to Time thou grow’st.
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

Some Things!

Went posted this awesome quote on his FB Page recently and I thought the words were so profound and true.

"There are three things in life that equal happiness... something to do, something to love, and something to look forward to." - Dr. Venus Nicolino

I believe in signs and it was as if the above quote Went posted was going to lead to this …

The other day I had a feeling that something wonderful was going to happen and it did!  News came in that the “Loft” was to be released on the 23 January 2015 in selected US Theatres meaning that it wouldn’t be long for the “Loft’s” release in South Africa too.  My dream of seeing Went again, and in this movie was about to come true at long last.

I’ve been watching “The Flash” faithfully once a week with the excited anticipation of getting to see Episode 10 with Went and Dominique Purcell in it together.  I calculated that I would eventually see the episode on Tuesday, 23rd December 2014 … just before Christmas.  I thought to myself wouldn’t that be a lovely Christmas Gift from the Universe if it were so.  Today, it was brought to my attention that due to delays in Production in the USA, it would only be aired on the 27thJanuary 2015 in South Africa.  Some would think that it would be a natural response to be down hearted, but I wasn’t.

I reckon that some things are definitely worth looking forward to and as far as Went is concerned, although he is not a thing but a very talented wonderful human being, he most certainly is.

Here’s looking at you Went … very soon I hope!

I thought this song was appropriate ...

The Commitment!

"Well hello Mr. Miller!"

Went’s commitment to ensure that he follows through with his soul’s purpose by helping others and spreading much needed love and support to everyone is so touching, inspiring and uplifting.

“Freedom is not the absence of commitments, but the ability to choose - and commit myself to - what is best for me.”
Paulo Coelho –

I was so thrilled to see Went on Yahoo Live at the TrevorLive Event on Sunday, 7th December 2014 in LA.  Went handled himself with grace and poise. Of course whatever Went says is always sincere and wise so I tried to hang onto every syllable he uttered, but the trouble was I was so caught up at looking at him that what he said flew right over my head at the time so with the result I’ve had to revisit the live feed a number of times thereafter and what a pleasure it’s been.

“A change is brought about because ordinary people do extraordinary things.”
Barack Obama –

I cannot express my admiration and respect enough to everyone involved with this wonderful project. Their selfless efforts and generosity will indeed help so many youngsters suffering from depression, confusion, loneliness and helplessness.

“To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretence, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us.”
Timothy Keller –

Went I love and admire you.  Thank you for supporting all those in need and for spreading love, light, truth and sunshine into everyone’s life.  You are SIMPLY THE BEST!

God bless you forever!

You've Got Mail!

I have been meaning to write this blog for some time to give you Went’s new mailing address that he has generously posted on his FB Page in case you haven’t seen it yet.

Wentworth Miller
c/o Viewpoint LA
8820 Wilshire Blvd Ste 220
Beverly Hills, CA 90211

Well there you have it should you want to send Went a letter or a Christmas card this year.

I on the other hand, would love to do both things, but unfortunately that won’t be possible this year, because SA has had a postal strike for months on end and our postal delivery is in a complete shambles at the moment.  South Africans are only able to communicate electronically at this stage. Mind you I think that’s the way to go anyway in this day and age.  Firstly it’s quick and easy, secondly it’s more reliable and thirdly it’s far more private and I prefer privacy.  And don’t talk to me about Express Mail, I’ve gone that route … many, many times before when sending my letters to Went.  I don’t think he ever got them. Either the vehicle delivering the mail to the airport got hijacked or the aeroplane did.  Who knows, it still remains a mystery. So with that being said my only solution to this problem would be for me to relocate to the other side of the equator to avoid these frustrations, but then again I can’t afford that not with SA’s crummy exchange rate as it is these days.

Call me paranoid but I guess privacy would be my main concern when writing to Went too.  I’d want to lay my whole life story out to him and tell him all my little secrets but with my luck, Joe Soap on the other side of the world would land up reading it by mistake.  My letter could either make headline news or be pretty damn boring which would be sad for Went if he did receive my mail by chance and then again, it could become a bestseller perhaps a mystery, thriller or romantic novel.  Wouldn’t that be nice?  Imagine … I could rake in the millions if my letter was ever made into a movie too and as an extra bonus Went wrote the screenplay.  Now that would be the icing on the cake that’s for sure.  Perhaps I should take my chances after all … what do you think?

If you stumble upon this blog dear Went, I want you to know that it would have been my dearest wish to send you a Christmas card and a gift but because it isn’t possible I shall send my seasonal greetings to you here on my blog and on your FB Page.  I hope that you will understand my predicament.

I think my title to this blog is appropriate as it reminds me of the movie: “You’ve Got Mail” with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.  I thought it was such a lovely movie.  Follow the links below for more info on the movie just in case you haven’t seen it yet.

Best Regards

DEBRA

P.S.
