Wentworth Miller: Serenades and Woo's Korea! (Part 1)

Posted on 1:32 PM by hill wilf

Went’s plane touched down at the Seoul Korean International Airport on a late Wednesday afternoon in March 2007.  He was greeted warmly by millions of adoring  fans who were fainting, crying [She laughs.  I added that in for a little bit of drama] and screaming “Annyeonghaseyo, Wentworth!” He was also showered with bunches of flowers and greeted with huge Korean smiles.

Went was in Korea to do promotional work and was a spokesperson for the Korean brand ‘Bean Pole Jeans’. Cheil Industries Inc. said it had signed a one-year contract with Went to be the model for Bean Pole Jeans.

Went at the Hotel

Went was also there to promote the Nam Yang French Café, a Korean coffee drink.  He did photo shoots, for both brands, and was interviewed.  He also attended the famous Bean Pole Jeans press conference which took place at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, South Korea. [My goodness  to think he did all this in just two days. He truly was a very busy man.]

Hugs & more Hugs!

Some quotes from Went by the Korea Times!

(Miller is immensely popular among Korean fans, who call him “Sok Ho-pil,” the Koreans version of his Prison Break character Michael Scofield. Scofield is also the name of Frank William Scofield, a Canadian who helped in Korea’s independence movement.)

“I was told my character was given a nickname in Korean, which has a direct reference to a historical figure. That meant the world to me to know I’m part of a show that knows no borders when it comes to cultural differences or language.

“In my career as an actor, there is a catchphrase that Scofield always says often in regards to his brother, `Have a little faith.’ In my own career as an actor, there were times when I was the only one who believed in myself in the face of the odds.

“I am very pleased to be part of the Bean Pole family. The relationship makes sense to me since Bean Pole has a lot in common with Prison Break. We’re both enterprises that have the highest levels of creativity, craftsmanship and innovation.”
mm mm I'd love to do that!

... and that!

... and also that! [She laughs & winks.]

One of my Favourites of Went.

I love this one too, it's so sweet!

One facet of Went's that I admire is that he remains calm and centred at all times even when there are hiccups with some of his interviews.  He oozes with self-confidence and that makes him even more attractive.

I totally agree with Went when he speaks about style and creativity.  A very wise man!

Wow I have so many pictures of Went's photo shoot and I would love to add them all, but unfortunately that would be impossible.  They're wonderful pictures but then I'm sure that you have most of them yourselves.

So Lovely!

Beautiful!

Magnificent!

mm I Love ...

This is only Part 1 of  dear Went’s trip to Korea.  There is more to follow.

Thank you everyone and goodbye for now!
