Wentworth Miller: ME & CITY, China's Boy (Part 4)

Posted on 2:07 PM by hill wilf

“Wherever you go, go with all your heart.”
~Confucius~

Day 2 of Went’s visit in Shanghai turned out to be a splashing affair.  Day 3 was no exception as you’ll soon find out.

ME & CITY did indeed splash out.  They took Went on a tour inside the ME & CITY store.  He was shown the wonderful display of the clothing range for ME & CITY.  His wonderful photos were displayed all over the store to attract the shoppers.  Went even had his hand print cast in stone. [She winks.]  I wonder who the lucky devil is who got to keep that!  Imagine being an archaeologist and discovering that valuable find in a million years from now! It would be a matter of fighting to the death to keep it. [She laughs.]

I confess that if I happened to find myself browsing in this store and I saw Went’s pictures all over, I’d loose concentration on what I was shopping for.  I’d definitely grab the first card board cut-out of him instead and dash out the door with it. Come to think of it, this would be a far more effective and quicker way of obtaining a memento from Went opposed to waiting for his autograph via the mail.  From what I’ve heard it could take months, years or even centuries if you’re fortunate enough to receive his autograph at all and if this is true, I could be pushing up daisies at that rate.   [She sobs.]

I’m told patience is a virtue, so patient I shall be but they also say life is short and who knows what tomorrow will bring. And if the 2012 doomsday predictions are anything to go by, then time is definitely running out.  [She frowns.]

Getting back to business and very serious business it was.  Went had the honour of cutting the ribbon outside the ME & CITY store.  He performed this task with the utmost grace and enthusiasm.  Excitement and joy was written all over his face.  Thank goodness he isn’t clumsy like the character “Inspector Clouseau” from the Pink Panther movies ‘cause it would’ve been disastrous if he had cut the man’s sleeve next to him, by mistake. [She giggles imagining this scenario.]

“It won't be easy, that is why I have always failed where others have succeeded.”
~Inspector Clouseau~

After this auspicious affair, Went attended interviews.  I’d like to add that this must have taken a lot of patience on his part as most of his interviews were translated into English and Chinese.  I applaud Went for his amazing calmness, patience and generosity.  He spoke so eloquently and intelligently.  He nailed the questions posed to him and as always his sincerity came shining through.

After a gruelling day [She laughs], Went hopped on a plane and headed for Beijing, China.

I thank you all for sharing this momentous occasion with Went.

“Until we meet again and the case is sol-ved.”

~Inspector Clouseau~

We’ll most assuredly meet again in Beijing, where Went stopped over for more fun and games.

 Goodbye!
