Wentworth Miller: Portraits of Wentworth 2012

Life beats down and crushes the soul
and art reminds you that you have one.

~Stella Adler~

I've finally plucked up the courage to share some of my personal sketches of Wentworth with you.

As far back as I can remember I've always been fascinated with sketching, painting and sculpture.  Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity of taking art lessons but that hasn't stopped me from practicing and continuing with my art work.  I find that when I use my creativity it's so fulfilling and relaxing.  It's also a way of meditation for me 'cause it enables me to connect with my heart and my soul allowing me to express my feelings and emotions.  The only problem is when I start a project I just have to complete it.  There's no way that I can shelve a project and get back to it.

I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.

~Michaelangelo~

To a true artist only that face is beautiful which,
quite apart from its exterior,
shines with the truth within the soul.

~Mahatma Gandhi~

The emotions are sometimes so strong that I work
without knowing it.  The strokes come like speech.

~Vincent van Gogh ~

Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not the sitter.

~Oscar Wilde~

I wish to end my blog with another one of my creations.

"Evergreen" by Barbara Streisand.
