I never in my wildest dreams ever thought that someday I would be blogging away on the internet about a celebrity but here I am writing a tribute for Wentworth Earl Miller III. You see I have never been one to take a keen interest in celebrities and their careers as I feel they are no different from you and me. Don’t get me wrong I do appreciate and admire their talents and their contribution to the Entertainment Industry. After watching the Oscars the other night however, it dawned on me that so many people may fall into the trap of turning a celebrity into a God or an Idol and this in my opinion is very wrong.
My tribute to Wentworth is motivated with pure intentions as he possesses a rare quality of genteelness and sincerity that immediately captured my attention and respect. These special traits of his are so refreshing in the Entertainment Business and this is what puts him “a cut above the rest” in my opinion. My intention and ardent wish is to create something special for his fans to enjoy and to refer to as a reminder of all his work and achievements. It is also a small gesture of gratitude to him for touching me in such a profound way for he has made his mark, right inside of my heart.
I recall seeing “The Human Stain” and watched his performance as Coleman Silk and wondered to myself, who he was because I was captivated by his acting. I never gave it any further consideration and unfortunately forgot who he was. When Prison Break was shown in my country I had missed the first series of the show and hired the DVD much later on. It was only after watching a couple of episodes down the line that it dawned on me that he was the actor who caught my attention in “The Human Stain.” Needless to say his riveting performance in Prison Break once again piqued my curiosity about him.
This may be hard for some of you to believe but when I decided to buy a computer and connect to the Internet, Prison Break had already finished. One day I was inspired to Google Wentworth’s name and my interest in him and his work grew. I even joined a Fan Site and let me assure you this was completely out of character for me, but in doing so, I was able to follow Wentworth’s career. Along the way I made friends with some very special people who have the same respect, interest and admiration for Wentworth, as I do.
The more I learnt and read about Wentworth, the more my admiration and respect for him grew. After much thought and prayers I decided to create this tribute for Wentworth out of respect for him and his work. I can only hope that what I have written this far has done him justice.
I’d like to end this blog and just say that it is very rare these days that one comes across another human being who possesses as much class and integrity as Wentworth Miller does.
On behalf of myself and your fans Wentworth, (should you ever read this) we wish to thank you for just being you, and we wish you all of the very best. Our support and keen interest in your work will never falter. You will always remain "unforgettable" to us.
God bless you always!
