A Christmas Wish!

Posted on 10:42 PM by hill wilf

It’s Christmas morning and I’m sitting quietly on my own in my study thinking of all the wishes I want to send Went.  I’m going to be perfectly honest there are so many wonderful things I wish for him that the list would go on and on and on that I’m sure you’d get bored reading them, leave and go on and on and on. [She says jokingly.]

My Dear Went,

I promised to blog my wish for you here.  I’m not sure if you read that promise, but if you did here it is.

I wish you a joyful happy Christmas, one filled with lots and lots of love, affection, gifts, food, drinks, hugs, kisses, laughter, warm company, excitement, happiness, awesome music, good conversation, contentment … the list goes on and on and on.

Went, you can count on this … that I’ll be thinking of you enjoying all these wonderful things I’ve just wished for you. Oh boy!  If only I was there with you enjoying them too!  [She sighs].  There’s no harm in wishful thinking is there?

I wish you, your family and friends and all of your fans a very MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Lots of love

DEBBIE.

A Christmas Eve Message!

Posted on 12:13 PM by hill wilf

Christmas is about celebrating, being joyful and happy but while we are all enjoying our festivities I’d like us all to take a moment and send our prayers and thoughts to those who are less fortunate than us ... the lonely people, the sad, the poor and the sick.  There are so many people out there who need our love and support.  As Went advocates these two things I felt it only fitting to blog this message to all of you here.

To anyone out there who is suffering at this moment, please remember that Christmas is about rebirth.  It’s a message to us all that there is a new beginning and that there is love and that there is hope.  Don’t ever give up!  Have faith and trust that everything will be better as you move forward each day.

To those who may have lost a loved one, please remember that life is eternal, and your loved one is with you and is watching over you wherever you may be. Take comfort in that knowledge.

God, grant us the grace to be patient and vigilant
In watching, waiting, and listening attentively.
So that we won't miss Christ
When he comes knocking at our door.
Remove whatever hinders us from receiving
The gifts which the Savior brings—
Joy, peace, justice, mercy, love ...
These are the gifts we are to share
With the downtrodden, the oppressed,
The outcasts, the weak, and the defenseless.

Christ, you are the hope of all peoples,
The wisdom who teaches and guides us,
The wonderful Counselor who encourages and consoles,
The Prince of Peace who calms our troubled minds
And restless spirits—
Granting us true inner peace.

Christ, you who are the radiant dawn,
Shine on those who live in darkness and in shadows,
Dispel fears, anxieties, and insecurities,
Restore hearts that have grown cold and distant,
Enlighten minds which have become darkened
Through greed, anger, hatred and bitterness.

We remember those who are living in shadows of a marginal existence,
We pray for the homeless, jobless and retrenched,
Those struggling to keep their lives together,
We lift up families, especially the children
Who may not experience
The joy of Christmas celebrations this season.

We pray for those living alone,
The widowed, the orphans, the elderly,
The sick and bedridden, the migrant workers
For whom the Christ-event may hold no special significance.
As happens with most festive seasons,
May it not deepen their sense of abandonment and alienation.

Christ, You who are the Light of the World,
Help us to radiate the warmth of your presence.
Enable us to give of ourselves generously and compassionately
In bringing joy, peace, and hope to others.

As we wait for the dawn
Of the coming of the Christ-child,
We do so with anticipation
Of new and unexpected challenges.
Like Mary, we sense the birth pangs of a new era,
A new kingdom waiting to be born.

May we, like Mary, be filled with courage,
Openness, and receptivity
To be the bearers of the Christ-child
In receiving and bringing forth the Good News
As we continue to be witnesses
Of God's truth and justice,
As we walk along the path of peace,
As we are strengthened in our love for Christ
And for each other.

In the words of Isaiah:

"Arise, shine, for your light has come.
The glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
Even though darkness shall cover the earth
And over its people,
Yet the LORD will be your everlasting light."

Amen.

Sending each one of you love and light wherever you are!  God bless you!

Just What I've Always Wanted!

Posted on 11:59 AM by hill wilf

Do you believe in the Spirit of Christmas?

I certainly do and here’s proof of it!

Many thanks to the WM Italian Forum for sharing this fabulous photo of Went and to the young lady who posted it on Instagram. The photo was taken with her and Went, at the Noble Coffee Roasting in Ashland, Oregon on the 21 December 2014.

This photo is just what I’ve always wanted for Christmas.

Thank you for your beautiful photo Went.  You’ve made this Christmas very special for me, and for all of your fans.  Bless you always!

I’m not sure if I’ve blogged this poem before for Went, but these words are so fitting for him that I just had to share it with you.

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
(Sonnet 18)
William Shakespeare, 1564 - 1616

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date.
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature’s changing course, untrimmed;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st,
Nor shall death brag thou wand’rest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to Time thou grow’st.
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

Some Things!

Posted on 12:18 PM by hill wilf

Went posted this awesome quote on his FB Page recently and I thought the words were so profound and true.

"There are three things in life that equal happiness... something to do, something to love, and something to look forward to." - Dr. Venus Nicolino

I believe in signs and it was as if the above quote Went posted was going to lead to this …

The other day I had a feeling that something wonderful was going to happen and it did!  News came in that the “Loft” was to be released on the 23 January 2015 in selected US Theatres meaning that it wouldn’t be long for the “Loft’s” release in South Africa too.  My dream of seeing Went again, and in this movie was about to come true at long last.

I’ve been watching “The Flash” faithfully once a week with the excited anticipation of getting to see Episode 10 with Went and Dominique Purcell in it together.  I calculated that I would eventually see the episode on Tuesday, 23rd December 2014 … just before Christmas.  I thought to myself wouldn’t that be a lovely Christmas Gift from the Universe if it were so.  Today, it was brought to my attention that due to delays in Production in the USA, it would only be aired on the 27thJanuary 2015 in South Africa.  Some would think that it would be a natural response to be down hearted, but I wasn’t.

I reckon that some things are definitely worth looking forward to and as far as Went is concerned, although he is not a thing but a very talented wonderful human being, he most certainly is.

Here’s looking at you Went … very soon I hope!

I thought this song was appropriate ...

The Commitment!

Posted on 12:40 PM by hill wilf

"Well hello Mr. Miller!"
♥

Went’s commitment to ensure that he follows through with his soul’s purpose by helping others and spreading much needed love and support to everyone is so touching, inspiring and uplifting.

“Freedom is not the absence of commitments, but the ability to choose - and commit myself to - what is best for me.”
―Paulo Coelho –

I was so thrilled to see Went on Yahoo Live at the TrevorLive Event on Sunday, 7th December 2014 in LA.  Went handled himself with grace and poise. Of course whatever Went says is always sincere and wise so I tried to hang onto every syllable he uttered, but the trouble was I was so caught up at looking at him that what he said flew right over my head at the time so with the result I’ve had to revisit the live feed a number of times thereafter and what a pleasure it’s been.

“A change is brought about because ordinary people do extraordinary things.”
―Barack Obama –

I cannot express my admiration and respect enough to everyone involved with this wonderful project. Their selfless efforts and generosity will indeed help so many youngsters suffering from depression, confusion, loneliness and helplessness.

“To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretence, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us.”
―Timothy Keller –

Went I love and admire you.  Thank you for supporting all those in need and for spreading love, light, truth and sunshine into everyone’s life.  You are SIMPLY THE BEST!

God bless you forever!

You've Got Mail!

Posted on 12:45 PM by hill wilf

I have been meaning to write this blog for some time to give you Went’s new mailing address that he has generously posted on his FB Page in case you haven’t seen it yet.

Wentworth Miller
c/o Viewpoint LA
8820 Wilshire Blvd Ste 220
Beverly Hills, CA 90211

Well there you have it should you want to send Went a letter or a Christmas card this year.

I on the other hand, would love to do both things, but unfortunately that won’t be possible this year, because SA has had a postal strike for months on end and our postal delivery is in a complete shambles at the moment.  South Africans are only able to communicate electronically at this stage. Mind you I think that’s the way to go anyway in this day and age.  Firstly it’s quick and easy, secondly it’s more reliable and thirdly it’s far more private and I prefer privacy.  And don’t talk to me about Express Mail, I’ve gone that route … many, many times before when sending my letters to Went.  I don’t think he ever got them. Either the vehicle delivering the mail to the airport got hijacked or the aeroplane did.  Who knows, it still remains a mystery. So with that being said my only solution to this problem would be for me to relocate to the other side of the equator to avoid these frustrations, but then again I can’t afford that not with SA’s crummy exchange rate as it is these days.

Call me paranoid but I guess privacy would be my main concern when writing to Went too.  I’d want to lay my whole life story out to him and tell him all my little secrets but with my luck, Joe Soap on the other side of the world would land up reading it by mistake.  My letter could either make headline news or be pretty damn boring which would be sad for Went if he did receive my mail by chance and then again, it could become a bestseller perhaps a mystery, thriller or romantic novel.  Wouldn’t that be nice?  Imagine … I could rake in the millions if my letter was ever made into a movie too and as an extra bonus Went wrote the screenplay.  Now that would be the icing on the cake that’s for sure.  Perhaps I should take my chances after all … what do you think?

If you stumble upon this blog dear Went, I want you to know that it would have been my dearest wish to send you a Christmas card and a gift but because it isn’t possible I shall send my seasonal greetings to you here on my blog and on your FB Page.  I hope that you will understand my predicament.

I think my title to this blog is appropriate as it reminds me of the movie: “You’ve Got Mail” with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.  I thought it was such a lovely movie.  Follow the links below for more info on the movie just in case you haven’t seen it yet.

Whatever Happened to Harry?

Posted on 1:22 PM by hill wilf

I’ve  been meaning to blog this update about Went’s screenplay “With A Friend Like Harry” for some time now, but my days have been filled with many distractions, some very lovely ones and some not so lovely.

I was very pleased to finally read about the progress about this screenplay written by Went.

TV director Adam Bernstein has signed on to direct Focus Features’ remake of the French thriller “With a Friend Like Harry.”

Bernstein received an Emmy nomination this year for the first episode of FX’s “Fargo.” He has also won an Emmy for “30 Rock” and has helmed episodes of “Breaking Bad” and “Nurse Jackie.”

Variety reported in July that Focus had acquired the remake rights and launched development.

Wentworth Miller is writing the screenplay. Producers are Maven Pictures’ Celine Rattray and Trudie Styler with Michelle Krumm.

The story involves the titular Harry claiming to be a high school classmate of a less-than-happily married man and insinuating himself into his life. After Harry gives his new friend a taste of a life he’s missed out on, things take a sinister turn.

The French film, released in 2000, starred Laurent Lucas, Mathilde Seigner and Sergi Lopez. Director Dominik Moll and Lopez won Cesar awards.

Bernstein is represented by ICM Partners.

This movie sounds like my cup of tea.   I enjoy thrillers and as Went is an expert at writing them, I’m sure this movie is going to be a huge success and one I’m really going to enjoy a lot.

Writing this blog about Harry, reminds me of these two songs I enjoy from another one of my favourite movies which also had a Harry in it namely “When Harry Met Sally”.

Thank you for reading!

Goodbye!
