Wentworth Miller: A Birthday Surprise!

Posted on 8:31 AM by hill wilf

What! Another birthday? I guess you’re baffled, so I’ll let you into my little secret.  Yes!  It’s my birthday today, the 30th June, and I thought that I would share my little secret with you on my blog for Went.  It’s good to know that Went and I are both June babies.  OK! So Went is a Gemini and I’m a Cancerian but my goodness at least we share the same birth month together.  That’s something isn’t it?

“It is better to be a young June-bug than an old bird of paradise”
 ~Mark Twain~
“A noise like of a hidden brook. / In the leafy month of June, / That to the sleeping woods all night / Singeth a quiet tune.”
 ~Samuel Taylor Coleridge~
“Oh, my luve's like a red, red rose, That's newly sprung in June; Oh, my luve's like the melodie That's sweetly played in tune”

 ~Robert Burns~

I guess you’re thinking surely Debra has better ways of spending her time on her birthday besides writing a blog about it?  To be quite frank I honestly enjoy spending time here with you and Went.  Under normal circumstances I’d keep my birthday to myself, but I wanted to share this particular one with you.
The other day when I was saying my prayers I asked for a blessing for my birthday. Would you believe it?  The very next day I stumbled onto some wonderful pictures of Went that I’d never seen before.  They took me by complete surprise, and gave me so much joy that I instinctively knew that this was the answer to my prayers.  This was my blessing!  For the remainder of the week I’ve been walking around with a smile on my face and a twinkle in my eyes and full of the joys of spring, even though it's the middle of winter here in SA.    I’m sure you’ll agree that no matter how old a photo of Went’s is, it’s always wonderful to see him especially if it’s one you haven’t seen before.  It’s like finding a treasure chest and opening it up and discovering Went hiding inside of it looking up at you with those lovely green eyes of his!  [She says with excitement, getting swept away with her imagination].

Went says he has hazel eyes but I tend to think they’re more green than hazel, however in these pictures they appear to be a grayish greeny color and yet some may argue that it's "The Blue Steel".  Anyway who cares what color Went's eyes are, they’re simply beautiful and they are the windows to his soul.
I guess some of you have already seen these pictures but nevertheless I’m absolutely thrilled with my discovery and so excited that I’m going to share them here with you as a keep sake. As you can see I've already framed one.   Before I share some of these pictures with you, I’d like to thank whoever released these beautiful pictures, for my birthday gift! [She giggles.]  It’s the best gift I’ve received up to now.  Let’s hope my other gifts are as lovely as this one.  [She smiles.]

Wentworth Miller: Wait for Me!

Posted on 3:52 PM by hill wilf

Sometimes missing someone can be hard but it makes the "missing" even more sweeter when that "special someone" suddenly appears.
However long it takes to see you again Went, we'll be right here waiting for you!
I thought I'd share this beautiful poem written by Konstantin Simonov with you.  It's about a soldier going off to battle and leaving his beloved behind.

Wait for Me!

Wait for me, and I'll return

Only wait very hard

Wait when you are filled with sorrow...

Wait in the sweltering heat

Wait when the others have stopped waiting,

Forgetting their yesterdays.

Wait even when from afar no letters come to you

Wait even when others are tired of waiting...

And when friends sit around the fire,

Drinking to my memory,

Wait, and do not hurry to drink to my memory too.

Wait. For I'll return, defying every death.

And let those who do not wait say that I was lucky.

They will never understand that in the midst of death,

You with you waiting saved me.

Only you and I know how I survived.

It's because you waited, as no one else did.

~ Konstantin Simonov ~

Wentworth Miller: An Honoured Guest at The Circuito da Guia in Macau, China

Posted on 3:33 PM by hill wilf

On the 22 November 2009, Went travelled to Macau, Guangzhou, China to attend the exciting World Touring Championships and The Auto Exhibition organized by Chevy Cruze.  Interestingly, Went was involved with the filming of Resident Evil, Afterlife at the time. As Went was the prestigious guest at this exciting event, it meant he had to leave Chris Redfield and his combat fatigues behind in Toronto, Ontario to fly across the globe to attend this affair.

Now that’s what I call a conscientious and dependable man and one who possesses a real zest for life!  These are such admirable attributes to possess in my opinion.
